Yoga is a time-tested way to improve physical mobility and balance. It also enhances the mind/body connection, which is important at every age, but even more so as we grow older. Being aware of how you move through space helps you navigate the world with more safety and confidence. It teaches you to pay attention to the little aches and pains before they become big aches and pains! Yoga can be done in a group, in private sessions; on the floor with yoga mats, or in a chair! Let me help you find your way to improved strength, balance and mobility at any age.

Meditation is another practice that has proved its worth over time. Setting aside time to be quiet, taking your attention away from the day-to-day worries and concerns, is beneficial for both mental and emotional health. Regular meditation has been shown to bring many benefits, including improved mental acuity, better emotional regulation, and that all-important feeling of calm and peace.

Energy work such as Reiki and EFT/Tapping have also been shown to help regulate the nervous system. Any of these practices, alone or in tandem, can help develop a better quality of life with more energy and confidence.

Labyrinth Walks: Take a private or guided walk on the J Howard Holistic Backyard Labyrinth! Please call ahead for directions and regulations. The labyrinth is on private property; no drop-ins please!!

Reiki: Reiki works on the subtle energy body, balancing the chakras (energy centers) and allowing space for the body and mind to heal. Reiki can be done from a distance; I lead you through a relaxing meditation over the phone as the Reiki energies are beamed to you. Sounds weird, but you will feel the benefits after a session.
